No breakthrough on standoff in India-China talks

India and China Wednesday held the 5th round of diplomatic talks on the LAC standoff, and again agreed on the need to implement a “consensus” to disengage and also set the stage for the next commander level talks. The 19th meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on India-China Border Affairs (WMCC) was seen as useful but not closer to a breakthrough.
