India, China to hold talks to end border standoff

With the LAC disengagement hitting a roadblock, India and China will hold another meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on India-China Border Affairs (WMCC) on Thursday to break the impasse. The disengagement process initiated on July 26 has hardly seen any progress because of China’s reluctance to withdraw from Depsang and Pangong, said sources.
